Binance Futures has just announced that it will delist DEFIUSDT and MEMEFI from its USD-M perpetual contract service. Additionally, for those who do not have a Binance account, please register through THIS LINK to get a transaction fee discount.
Binance exchange has just issued a notification that it will officially close all positions and proceed with automatic settlement for the perpetual futures contracts DEFIUSDT and MEMEFI under the USDⓈ-M standard at 16:00 on 11/08/2025 (Vietnam time). After completing the settlement, both contracts will be completely delisted from the Binance Futures platform.
To avoid automatic settlement and potential unwanted risks, users are advised to proactively close their open positions before the aforementioned time.
Moreover, starting from 15:30 on the same day (11/08/2025 in Vietnam time), Binance will stop allowing new position openings for both DEFIUSDT and MEMEFI contracts. After this time, users can only execute position closing orders until the contracts are delisted.
Important Note About Liquidation in the Final Hours
In the last 1 hour before settlement, Binance Futures will not use the Futures Insurance Fund to support the liquidation process. Instead, all liquidation orders during this period will be executed using the IOCO (Immediate or Cancel Order) mechanism – meaning it will be executed only once in the market.
If the IOCO order is fully matched and the user's account still meets the Maintenance Margin requirements after calculating actual losses and liquidation fees, the liquidation process will stop.
Conversely, if the IOCO order is not sufficient to bring the position to a safe margin requirement level, the remaining portion will be processed through the Auto-Deleveraging (ADL) mechanism – which will automatically transfer the position to traders with opposite leverage and lower liquidation priority.
Therefore, users are advised to closely monitor their open positions in the last 1 hour before settlement, as this period typically has strong volatility and low liquidity, which can lead to high risks.
