Currently, the Base network has restored normal block creation after a temporary interruption.
According to the latest data from the Base blockchain browser and OKLink, on August 5th, the Base network officially resumed normal block creation, marking the system's return to stable operation after a short interruption.
Previously, multiple sources noted that the Base network encountered an issue where the Block Height was stopped at 33,792,704, causing block production to temporarily halt for 27 minutes. Currently, the block creation process has been resumed, indicating that the operations team has successfully resolved the technical issue.
Prior to the temporary block creation suspension on August 5th, the Base network had previously faced a similar incident in March 2024, when transactions on the network were temporarily suspended due to an error during system upgrade, causing many users to experience difficulties in conducting transactions or interacting with decentralized applications (dApps) on the platform.
At that time, the Base development team quickly confirmed that the cause was an incompatibility error during the deployment of the latest Geth (popular Ethereum client software) update. Within a few hours, the system was fully restored and returned to stable operation.
