On June 30, 2025, Robinhood launched a series of new products at the Robinhood Presents: To Catch a Token event in Cannes, France, causing market tremors.
As RWA is officially landing comprehensively in global major markets, Robinhood is tokenizing stocks and ETFs in the European market, with these tokenized products currently issued on Arbitrum and set to be issued on the Layer 2 Robinhood Chain currently under development.
In addition to launching tokenized products in the EU, Robinhood also released a series of new products yesterday, such as crypto staking in the US and the global launch of Robinhood Chain.
EU Region: Stock and ETF Tokenization
Tokenizing US Stocks and ETFs
Robinhood has launched tokenized US stocks and ETFs in the EU, allowing eligible customers to invest in US stocks through Robinhood stock tokens - enjoying zero commission or additional spreads (other fees may apply), dividend support, and 24/5 access. By tokenizing stocks, the Robinhood European app will transform from a pure cryptocurrency app to a crypto-driven integrated investment app.
European customers will be able to trade over 200 US stock and ETF tokens. Stock token holders can also directly receive dividends in the app.
Stock tokens will initially be issued on Arbitrum. In the future, tokenized stocks will be issued on the Robinhood Layer 2 chain Robinhood Chain based on Arbitrum.
Perpetual Futures Contracts
Robinhood is about to launch cryptocurrency perpetual contracts in the EU, providing a new type of derivative for eligible customers with continuous exposure and up to 3x leverage. Perpetual contracts will be fully rolled out to eligible customers by late summer. To help reduce the complexity typically involved in trading perpetual contracts, Robinhood has built an intuitive interface for users to set position sizes and manage margins. Orders will be routed through Bitstamp's perpetual contract exchange.
US Region: Crypto Staking
Ethereum and Solana Staking
Cryptocurrency staking services will soon be launched for eligible US users, initially opening for Ethereum and Solana platforms.
All Robinhood EU and European Economic Area (EEA) users can also participate in cryptocurrency staking.
Other Product Suite
Robinhood has also launched more new products to make cryptocurrency trading on Robinhood more powerful and seamless.
Instant Crypto Deposit Rewards: Within a limited time, US and EU investors can transfer cryptocurrencies to Robinhood and receive a 1% deposit boost reward. If the total deposit reaches the $500 million target, it has the opportunity to double to 2%.
Crypto Credit Card Rewards: The Robinhood Gold credit card offers cashback on all categories of shopping for US customers. Starting this fall, customers can automatically use these rewards to purchase cryptocurrencies.
Crypto Cortex: Cortex, an AI-driven investment assistant launched by Robinhood in the US, will go live later this year. Robinhood Gold members can view curated insights, trends, and event-driven market analysis on each token's details page. It aims to help customers quickly understand real-time price trends and market changes.
Smart Exchange Routing: Smart exchange routing will evaluate multiple partner exchanges and route customer orders to obtain the best prices. Soon, all orders placed through smart exchange routing will meet rate tier requirements, meaning the more a customer trades, the lower the rates, based on their trading volume in the past 30 days. API support is coming soon.
Tax Lots: US customers can now view and sell specific tax lots for crypto trades, allowing customers to strategically choose which batches to sell.
Advanced Charts: Robinhood Legend's advanced charts are coming to mobile devices, starting with stocks and expanding to cryptocurrencies in August.
Global: Robinhood Chain
Under development and coming soon, Robinhood is building a permissionless Layer 2 blockchain optimized for real-world assets (from public to private to global assets), supporting 24/7 trading, seamless bridging, and self-custody.
