NDAChain is designed based on the most advanced blockchain technologies to form the infrastructure for a national-level decentralized identity platform.

National Data Association deploys NDAChain blockchain

According to the National Data Association under the Ministry of Public Security, one of the association's key orientations is developing two core technology pillars: the national blockchain platform and the national-level Decentralized Identifier (DID) system. Among these, blockchain is considered the "backbone" of modern data infrastructure. More than just a Distributed Ledger, blockchain plays a role in ensuring data integrity, transparency, and immutability.

From this orientation, the National Data Association has developed its own blockchain named NDAChain in the spirit of "Make in Vietnam". NDAChain is a national blockchain platform that provides secure, decentralized, and transparent infrastructure for digital identity, data transactions, and digital transformation applications. Designed as a foundation for the National Decentralized Identifier System (NDA DID), NDAChain ensures safe, transparent digital identity authentication, prevents online fraud, and protects user privacy.

NDAChain is a Permissioned Blockchain platform using Proof of Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism to ensure quick, safe, and transparent transactions. Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) technology helps authenticate identity without revealing personal information, maximizing privacy protection. The system provides a Decentralized Identifier (DID) platform, allowing users to create and manage digital identities without intermediaries. With these technologies, NDAChain offers automatic, secure, and reliable transaction solutions for government, enterprises, banks, and digital platforms.

Different from existing commercial blockchain platforms, NDAChain is designed to strictly comply with current legal and technical standards in Vietnam, while possessing seamless integration capabilities with e-government systems, banks, and corporate organizations. This is a strategic move that helps Vietnam own independent technology infrastructure, gradually forming a sovereign, transparent data market that aligns with domestic cultural and legal characteristics.

The national Decentralized Identifier system - NDA DID is designed according to the Decentralized Identity (DID) model, allowing each individual or organization to have full control over their identity information without depending on any intermediary.

This solution not only helps prevent information forgery, electronic fraud, and privacy violations but also creates a trusted platform for deploying multiple digital services in the future such as personal wallet management, smart contracts, digital copyrights, etc. in areas like e-government, banking and finance, e-commerce, and the digital world. Applying DID in data management application development is clear evidence of Vietnam's capability to master core technologies approaching global standards.

Currently, NDAChain is in its first development stage, including deployment in small areas and collecting feedback data. After gathering necessary evidence, the project will continue piloting in major cities and ultimately aim for nationwide coverage.

Since issuing the National Strategy on blockchain technology application and development in October 2024, the Vietnamese Government has taken decisive actions to prepare for issuing laws on digital asset management and related services, as well as encouraging domestic blockchain development. One of the projects tasked with building "Make in Vietnam" blockchain is also 1Matrix from One Mount Group, a company in the Techcombank ecosystem.
