Bitcoin (BTC) Market Projected to Reach $425 Trillion in 20 Years
Renowned cryptocurrency analyst Willy Woo shared a bold prediction on X (formerly Twitter) that the Bitcoin market size could reach $425 trillion (approximately 59 quadrillion 750 trillion won) within the next 20 years.
Fidelity assessed Bitcoin's value storage capability as superior to other cryptocurrencies, estimating its potential market size at $18.5 trillion (approximately 2 quadrillion 5,715 trillion won).
Blockstream CEO Adam Back went further, projecting that Bitcoin could absorb the currency premium market of assets used as inflation and risk aversion means, such as stocks, bonds, and real estate, ranging from $209 trillion to $300 trillion (approximately 29 quadrillion to 41 quadrillion 7 trillion won).
Willy Woo countered this by calling it a "pessimistic view" and stating that the market will be formed within a 50% margin of $425 trillion in 20 years.
Woo's projection does not mean Bitcoin will directly reach this value, but rather represents the potential market size if it establishes itself as a global value storage medium similar to digital gold.
With traditional financial institutions like Fidelity beginning to align with the long-standing claims of the cryptocurrency industry, the $425 trillion figure no longer seems unrealistic.
